Relocation Assistance

Relocation assistance in Geneva

Professional relocation assistance covers the practical execution of a move to Geneva: the work that sits between the employment contract and the moment a family is genuinely settled. A typical scope includes permit application support, the home search (with régies that engage with expatriate dossiers), school search and applications, opening bank accounts, enrolling with a LAMal carrier, registering with the cantonal authorities, and the orientation work — neighbourhood, transport, services — that turns a relocation into a functioning daily life.

Two service tiers are common in the Geneva market. Corporate relocation packages, often negotiated by employers with established firms, cover families on standard expatriate assignments with defined budgets and timelines. Premium and bespoke services address higher-net-worth households, complex family situations, or moves requiring discretion — typically with a single dedicated consultant managing every workstream from arrival through the first months of settlement.

For relocations tied to international organisations, specific expertise is needed for the Carte de Légitimation process and the parallel administrative path that differs from the standard cantonal route.
